கிம் ஜ்யோதிஸ்தவ பானுமானஹனிமே ராத்ரௌ ப்ரதீபாதிகம்
ஸ்யாதேவம் ரவித்பதர்சனவிதௌ கிம் ஜ்யோதி ராக்யாஹிமே I
சக்ஷுஸ்தஸ்ய நிமீலநாதி ஸமயே கிம் b: தியோதர்சணே
கிம் தத்ராஹம்: அதோ பவான்பரமகம் ஜ்யோதிஸ்ததஸ் I ப்ரபோ II

பொருள்: உனக்குத் துணையாக இருக்கும் ஒளி எது? பகலில் சூர்யன் தான். இரவில் விளக்கு முதலியன இருக்கலாம்; ஆனால் அந்த சூர்யனையும் விளக்கையும் காணவேண்டுமே, அதற்கு வெளிச்சம் எது? அதுவா கண் இருக்கிறதே! சரி! கண்மூடிக் கொள்ளும் நேரத்தில்? அதுதான் புத்தி உள்ளதே! சரிதான், அதையும் தெரிந்து கொள்ள ஒளி எதுவோ அங்கு நான் அதாவது ஆத்மா உள்ளதே. ஆனால் அந்த ஆத்மாதான் ஒளு மிக்கது. அந்த ஒளியும் ஆத்மாவும் ஒன்றேதான்

The Eka Loka Prakaraṇam is a profound Advaita Vedānta treatise traditionally attributed to Adi Shankaracharya.
